We started work in Mankhaka in 2023

The school has 4 classrooms and a relatively new administration block.

The school has the capacity for over 300 children and currently 200 are attending. The community are building a house for the Headmistress, so generally the school and community are functioning well.

The main issue for the school appears to be Form 3 retention and Form 4 graduation standards.
The school needs support with learning materials and buildings to help these pupils succeed.

We have started our work here with the supply of books for Form 3 and Form 4 and solar lighting to help Pupils study for their upcoming exams. We are also exploring the provision of bikes to girls who have long journeys to get to school.

We have been supporting Mandjala since 2023

We plan to develop the solar electrical system in the school to include printers, projectors, laptops.

Working with the community we expect to provide building materials for new buildings (Laboratory/Library). We will also research the building of a girl’s hostel in the School.
